POSITION SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Food Services Manager and guidance from the Dietitian, the Cook is responsible for guaranteeing appealing, nutritious and high-quality meals and snacks. Also ensures that preparation and serving activities are performed in accordance with food service policies, sanitary guidelines and good sensitivity/allergy requirements. Participation and passing the food handlers certification program (ServSafe) is highly desirable. Additional training in the culinary arts and/or hospital food services is complimentary to this position. Skills Must possess good interpersonal skills and a strong customer service orientation.
