Functional Project Manager

SGWS is looking for a Functional Project Manager to join the T2 Back Office Optimization Team reporting into the Director of Back Office Optimization and the SVP Back Office Optimization. The purpose of the role is to manage multiple complex projects from scoping through delivery from a business perspective. An ideal candidate is very detailed oriented, gets the right people engaged at the right time, gets people to make decisions or escalates as issues, ensures business requirements are clearly defined, understands technical solutioning and business process across all SGWS functional areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Functional Project Manager will manage projects across multiple Back Office Optimization responsibility areas:
- Back Office standardization, centralization and automation.
- Sapphire Business Application Owner (BAO) – A partnership with IT/ETP that includes working with ETP BRMs on all Sapphire enhancements including business requirements, UATs, deployment activities and post implementation support. This is not only for Sapphire enhancements but for changes to other systems that may impact Sapphire as well.
- Project Management for things that are outside of IT/ETP areas of technical responsibility including executing repeatable project steps to roll out enhancements, coordinating and participating in UAT(s), end user training, business process change management, post implementation support, etc.
- Digital Enterprise (DE):
a) Proof Service Business Owner responsible for standing up the new Customer Advocacy function, including new tools (Salesforce Service Cloud Case Management) and processes in support of DE.
b) Proof Sales eCom Deployments – Responsible for coordinating all eCom deployment activities for all 28 SGWS markets. This includes coordinating all deployment activities beyond the initial launch markets including individual state data loads, assessing data/user experience readiness, problem root cause analysis and remediation across Sapphire, Hybris, Integration, OneSource, Business Process, etc.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing a project plan conveying all of the project related tasks across all functional areas/workstreams that need to be accomplished for the project to be successful.
- Coordinating, driving forward progress and holding people accountable for all project tasks, activities, workplans (e.g., MOPS, WBS, etc.).
- Helping to define (and/or bring about clarity regarding) business requirements.
- Understanding dependencies and ensuring the proper sequencing of tasks, deployments, etc. The Functional Project Manager needs line of sight (but does not manage the actual work) into other projects (technical and non-technical), other systems (Hybris, Sapphire, SAP, OneSource, Salesforce, JDA, etc.) and functional areas (e.g., Commercial, Operations, SCM, Back Office, Legal, Treasury, Accounting and Finance.) projects that might affect our ability to successfully deploy as scheduled. This also includes line of sight into scheduled system maintenance, upgrades, new releases, etc. that might affect our ability to successfully deploy as scheduled. These are dependencies within the Project/Program and across other Projects/Programs.
- Challenging other functional areas to deliver as committed and to make decisions and move on without having to revisit the same issue over and over again.
- Escalating obstacles and issues to the Business Owners and project stakeholders.
- Partnering with IT/ETP who is responsible for Defining Technical Requirements, Development (programming), Quality Assurance / Unit Testing.
- Collaborating with business sponsors, business owners, analysts, developers and testing teams.
- Identifying and quickly resolving project roadblocks.
- Facilitating scope management across the project.
- Developing remedies to problems and issues by bringing the right people into the resolution process at the right time.
Qualifications
- 10 years SGWS Business Experience
- Extensive SGWS Business knowledge including the alcoholic beverage industry, wholesale distribution, individual state differences due to regulatory and legal requirements, market nuances, current practices, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of SGWS Systems – Order To Cash (OTC) (Sapphire and SAP SD) and integration to all other SGWS peripheral systems (SAP Finance/Accounting, Roadnet, WMi, Topaz, Liquid, CS360, Velocitor, SWO, JDA, OneSource, Enterprise Service Bus, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of SGWS end-to-end processes across all functional areas (e.g., Commercial, Back Office Customer Service and Accounts Receivable, Supply Chain, State Operations, Accounting/Finance, MDM, Legal/Compliance, Treasury, etc.).
- SQL knowledge
- Analytical skills.
