    The custodian keeps the buildings functional and grounds clean, and also ensures that all aspects of the indoor and outdoor facilities are safe and welcoming and comfortable for students, staff and public.Responsibilities:
  • Keeps buildings and grounds clean and orderly
  • Sweeps, scrubs, finishes floors
  • Empties and cleans waste receptacles
  • Cleans and disinfects toilets and sanitary facilities
  • Washes windows, walls, blinds, metal work, etc
  • Maintains equipment and materials
  • Moves, arranges and adjusts furniture and equipment
  • Painting and general repairs
  • Maintains electrical service and replaces light bulbs/fixtures
  • Shovels snow
  • Maintenance work including painting, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical as required
  • Other duties as assigned
