Ensures public safety through the enforcement of animal welfare and control codes and ordinances; enforcement of local, state, and federal animal cruelty laws; and conducting of animal bite, cruelty and neglect investigations as required. Must be able to work nights and/or weekends and be willing to live or relocate to comply with response time requirements during your scheduled on-call week. Qualifications Two years of experience in animal control or equivalent experience or education in law enforcement, investigation or animal care is required. A high school diploma or GED is also required. Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable and experienced in the safe humane capture, restraint, transfer and confinement of animals.
