We seek an experienced Full Stack, Web Applications Developer to provide our NAVAIR customer with web application development and web support to our Cost and Schedule Analysis client team.
Primary Job Responsibilities include:- Architect, design, implement, manage, and optimize relational databases using best database design practices for tables, views and triggers;
- Using advanced T-SQL, develop and implement both static and dynamic Stored Procedures and Functions within MS SQL Server to efficiently provide data to applications and data visualization tools;
- Develop, implement and support a 3-tier application using MS SQL Server (database), NodeJS (server), and web application (client) via a web framework such as Angular.js;
- Support the conversion of legacy Cold Fusion applications into Node.js applications;
- Design, implement and support graphical user interfaces, as well as data-derived reports containing graphs/charts;
- Support the adoption of a Continuous Development / Continuous Integration environment using a Jenkins Pipeline within OpenShift to create Docker images and run them via Kubernetes.
- Support the maintenance of various other applications used by the client organization;
- Train team members and end-users;
- Develop a Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) for assigned work and keep client updated on forecast completion of major milestones, barriers, and help needed.
A few important things to know about this opportunity:- You will be embedded in a team within our client’s organization focused on development of new web applications, maintenance of existing tools, and the creation of modules within the client’s Intranet, Internet, and other Legacy applications.
- On some projects you’ll have the opportunity to apply creative leadership to help our client identify new approaches and technical tools. You will be required to collaborate with different groups to meet project requirements and be able to work independently.
- This position is on a Compressed Work Schedule/CWS, meaning you’ll have the option to work 9 workdays, and then get every other Friday off. You have the potential for 20+ Fridays off. Imagine what you can do with all those Fridays off!
Qualifications: Required Qualifications:- A bachelor’s degree with three (3) years of experience in a field relevant to these job responsibilities, OR nine (9) total years of experience related to these job responsibilities without a bachelor’s degree;
- US citizenship and an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one;
- Ability to work full time on-site in Lexington Park, MD;
- Experience presenting within group settings.
- Experience with Full Stack web application development using the following:
- MS SQL Server, creating advanced stored procedures and functions via T-SQL;
- Node.js;
- Web frame work experience, such as Angular.js;
- Client side scripting via CSS, JavaScript and HTML5;
- Unit Testing code and source control like Git;
Helpful Skills:- Kubernetes experience and related technologies such as Docker and Openshift;
- Knowledge of XML/RSS and serialized data formats;
- Project and Task management experience;
- Legacy skills with Cold Fusion, ".Net" ( C# and VB.Net ) and/or PHP, Python, JAVA.
