Fulfillment Specialist Details

Summary/Objective

The primary responsibility of a Fulfillment Specialist is to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of client and agency promotional items. The Fulfillment Specialist interacts closely with the Supervisor regarding specially packaged orders and allocated inventory. The Fulfillment Specialist must be proactive and self-directed in all order fulfillment functions and alert the Supervisor of any problems related to promotional item quality and quantity.

Essential Functions

  • Take picking orders from Lead/Supervisor and attempt to find ordered products
  • Check product to ensure that it is in proper condition and is not damaged
  • Isolate damaged items to a predefined marked area and report it to supervisors
  • Ensure that the quantity specified is picked by counting it several times before taking it to the packing pallet
  • Transport items to packing pallet and pack them in specified containers
  • Measure and weigh packed container and put information on the packing
  • Seal packed containers by using tape
  • Report any errors in product selection and quantity to the supervisor immediately
  • Train others and offer assistance

Other Essential Functions

  • Change tasks quickly in response to changing department needs when necessary
  • Handle voice directed picking processes by following set protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds of product on a daily basis.

Moderate walking, standing, and/or climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching. Work on ladders and possible exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Typical days and hours of part time work are Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional weekend work may be required.

Travel

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 1 year experience in warehouse or related field

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in inventory management

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse experience
