Who You Are:
As our Front End Developer, you will be responsible for providing quality solutions that meet development requirements in support of improving web experiences for both our clients and our internal teams. Your primary responsibilities will include producing high caliber, on-schedule deliverables for our in-house Marketing team, and building the front-ends of our web-based, internal tools.

A Day in the Life:

  • Development on existing company website (urbanelectric.com), including enhancements and promotional campaigns
  • UI/UX development of our internal manufacturing and reporting tools
  • Collaboration in GitHub
  • Development of custom marketing materials, including microsites, emails, etc.
  • UI/UX development on our forthcoming e-commerce website
  • Contribution to the improvement of our internal development process
  • Other duties as necessary

What Will Set You Up for Success:

  • You have 1+ year(s) experience in cross-browser/cross-platform JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
  • You know your stuff - you’ve got practical knowledge in writing code for responsive sites.
  • You have experience working with APIs.
  • You’re familiar with web analytics.
  • You are able to do developer testing/QA for your work.
  • You will be comfortable in a fast-paced, Kanban-style development environment.
  • You communicate clearly. You write well. You speak eloquently.
  • You’re a people person. You can establish a high level of personal credibility and build strong professional working relationships with internal clients.

Things that will Impress Us

  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js, React, or Angular
  • Exposure to eCommerce and eCommerce platforms
