Forklift Operator/Material Handler (1st and 2nd)

Curtis Metal Finishing is seeking forklift operators to join our team!

Openings available on :

• 1st shift (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
• 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.)

Forklift operators are responsible for loading and unloading equipment with work as well as tracking outbound and inbound material efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will be able to multi task while maintaining accuracy & organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate forklifts to load and unload machines and move material throughout facility
• Material handling activities such as picking and packing product for shipment.

• Inspection of inbound and outbound work and paperwork.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent bending, stooping and reaching above and below.

• Frequent bending and lifting at the waist.

• Twisting frequently at waist and shoulder.

• Be comfortable in a plant setting (loud sounds, strong smells, hot/cold environments depending on outside weather especially when in dock area.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must be able to operate a hi-lo, preferred: hi-lo certified.

• 1 year minimum of relevant manufacturing experience is required.
• Work authorization: United States (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
