FOOD SERVICE LEAD

Overview: Responsible for providing basic dietary leadership in assigned areas.Responsibilities:- Produces and serves accurate, attractive, temperature appropriate meals to
patients, staff and visitors per procedures - Maintains clean work area and follows all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Consistently follows recipes as written using portion control guidelines
when serving food
Demonstrates ability to adjust work assignments to meet needs of
department - LEAD: Assists with staff communication, training and follow-up
- LEAD: Demonstrates ability to perform basic requirements of all positions and can act in a back-up role when necessary.
- LEAD: Adjusts meals to meet the needs of the patient while following population specific and cultural guidelines and meeting doctor’s orders
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- IDPH Food Service Sanitation Certification
- Healthcare food service experience 1 year required
