POSITION SUMMARYThe Safety Compliance Administrator is responsible for managing the CKE Safety Department supporting all Carl’s Jr. and Hardee's restaurant locations and corporate facilities. This position is responsible for supporting the development and administration of strategies, policies, and procedures that contribute to effective safety and accident/incident reduction. This position will partner in the development, writing, communication, and enforcement of defined policies and procedures based on state and federal laws; OSHA compliance; regulations, and company standards throughout the organization.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMay perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Assists in the development of safety operating strategies, policies and procedures that meet or exceed industry “best practices” in order to reduce exposure.
  • Manages compliance with all site safety policies and procedures
  • Ensures timely reporting and conducts investigations of serious accidents, per program directives
  • Conducts trend analysis and regular root-cause assessments of recent incidents to determine gaps and to lead the efforts in preventing future incidents
  • Communicates performance expectations for safe work practices
  • Will work cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success and effectiveness of the safety program
  • Conducts or attends regular meetings with regional field leadership to review program efficiency
  • Manages OSHA relations and required responses
  • Attends seminars and completes other training to remain current on industry trends
  • Participates in company meetings, webinars, and conference calls
  • Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements
  • Assists Director of AP and Safety with managing Crisis team and communications.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
  • 3+ years of experience in a safety administration role or a related role in the restaurant industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety, and Health, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (ability to create reports and business correspondence using an appropriate business writing style and proper grammar)
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and even better listening skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally
  • Must be flexible; able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate shifting business priorities
  • Must have excellent planning, prioritizing, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Corporate Office fast-paced, a high volume of activity and a deadline-driven environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Sitting for extended periods of time, using the telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
  • Travels as needed approximately thirty-five (35) %
