Flow Line Operator - 2nd shift

POSITION SUMMARYPerform window fabrication, assembly and glazing in a line concept, flexing up and down the line to balance the work flow including into the saw and machining areas.
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:- Job tasks include but not limited to, manufacturing screw construction, installing sash, crimping, blind installation, weather sealing, glaze windows utilizing all glazing methods
- Operate small hands tools, chop saw and other production equipment as needed to complete the window unit for final assembly
- Read and understand prints, CTO-Pro View (Shop View), Epicor/MES and other supporting documents
- Lay out work area in the most productive and efficient manner possible
- Locate, organize and install window hardware
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Maintain quality specifications and information, including audits and product or project quality feedback
- Accurate and timely completion of required department documentation, both electronic and paper
- Able to lift heavy window units following safety procedures
- Ability to successfully complete glazing and sealing training
- Adhere to established safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all associates
- Adhere to established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support Lean and the continuous improvement process
- Proficient use of computer systems and intranet functions
- Undertake job responsibilities in a manner consistent with the company's Core Values

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILL and KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS- Ability to read and understand prints, die drawings and other supporting documentation
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Communicate effectively in a verbal and a written manner
- Knowledge of window and curtainwall product and processes
- Computer software proficiency in the following: CTO-Pro View, Intranet and ERP software (Epicor/MES)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Work quickly and accurately
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSThe associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSRegularly required to stand, reach, bend, talk, hear and move about the facility. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
