Your timing could not be better. We are currently hiring to fill a key First Article Assembler position at our Indianapolis, IN, location. Education: High school graduate and some college preferred. Experience: Minimum of one year experience with knowledge of Bill of Materials, Component Specifications, Assembly Specifications, Assembly drawings and assembly of turnkey products and experience building First Articles. Experience with inspection and quality in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Must be able to correctly interpret Assembly Instructions (internal and external), Inspection Instructions and Specifications. Must be experienced with Non-conforming materials management. Experience with ISO Processes. Software/Applications: Windows, Microsoft Office, Bartender and barcode system experience helpful Job Scope: Must be detailed oriented and follow established ISO Procedures and Work Instructions. Evaluate assembly instructions for clarity and accuracy and prepare first articles accurately based on the assembly instructions. Communicate with the account manager, quality and production leads on the assembly of the first articles. Must be able to multi-task, stay focused, operate under pressure, and work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment. Excellent communications skills are needed to effectively work with Account Management, Production, Warehouse, Quality and other internal departments in order to fully support the requirements. Train staff members as needed. Reports to: Production Supervisor Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Physical Requirements: Requires ability to move freely throughout the facility (may include walking up and down stairs, through tight or congested areas, as well as up or down ladders), ability to lift, pull and push up to 30 lbs., ability to stand for 7 to 8 hours, verify, by sight, accuracy of product and paperwork, and ability to work with mathematical statistics.
