Overview:This position is offerring a $5,000 incentive!
Provide support to the pharmacy, under the direction of a pharmacist, in the central pharmacy and decentralized areas while assisting the pharmacist with compounding and distribution of pharmaceuticals, IV solutions and documentation as ordered by qualified prescribers. Provide assistance in the narcotic control area as directed.

:1.0 FTE (80 Hours worked every two weeks) Evening Shift The position is benefit eligible
Responsibilities/Job Description: Prepare, label and deliver medications and supplies accurately and safely, as assigned and in accordance with all legal requirements and policies under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

  • Calculate and measure correct dose, select correct drug and diluents, compound and label products accurately and safely.
  • Admixtures include Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Immunogobulin mixtures (IGG, ATG), irrigations, infusions, antibiotic piggybacks and syringes, chemotherapy and other sterile products.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of calibrating TPN and/or other compounding pumps packaging machines and other technology
  • Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas.
Process medication orders or prescriptions and maintain patient profiles accurately in the inpatient and outpatient pharmacy information systems.
  • Enter patient information and/or medication orders into the EHR (electronic health record) and/or pharmacy systems
  • Assist pharmacist in processing outpatient prescriptions

Qualifications:Education:Minimum Education

Preferred Education

  • Graduate of a pharmacy technician program
Minimum License/Certification/Registration
  • Current or pending registration with the MN board of pharmacy.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 6 months of employment


Preferred Experience

  • Previous pharmacy or medical experience
