The Operations Financial Administrator is responsible for preparing and maintaining windfarm cost and purchasing activities for multiple wind farms across a Customer Service Office (CSO) including PO preparation/management, goods receipts, and maintenance and fleet service vehicle administration.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain operations cost and schedule activity information in the Site Planner tool of each assigned wind farm (scheduled activity plans, PO data, site administration costs, etc.). Ensure updates meet Service Controlling financial forecast requirements.
  • Review and investigate Operations profit/loss variances. Participate in reviews with Director and Service Controller.
  • Using inputs from Service Controlling and Service Operations leadership, prepare annual windfarm and CSO budgets within the Site Planner tool.
  • Prepare and maintain Purchase Orders for the ordering of services, parts and materials, and other site-based items per Nordex guidelines.
  • Process goods receipts within Nordex ERP systems (JDE & SAP) for service and materials POs following Nordex guidelines. Support windfarm and regional leadership with invoice approval process within Nordex ERP systems.
  • Perform audits of Site Planner cost and activity inputs. Ensure planner is maintained following Site Planner work instruction.
  • Support timely and accurate setup of Site Planner tool for new windfarms transitioning from Project Management to Service.
  • Process vehicle fleet administration tasks including ordering vehicles, coordination of delivery, hand over to employees, return to the leasing company, track maintenance dates, etc. for one or more assigned CSOs.
  • Assist staff with other administrative requirements as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or vocational experience preferred
  • 2-4 years in a cost controlling / financial analyst role
  • Knowledge of wind farm operations is a plus
  • Strong IT capability with MS Office with a specific focus on Excel
  • SAP experience is highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with remote support groups
  • Excellent problem solving, organization, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
