Textron Airborne Solutions provides training opportunities for military customers. Summary

Airborne Tactical Advantage Company (ATAC) provides tactical and adversary aggressor training as contract support for the Department of Defense. The Tyndall Maintenance Liaison position is intended to coordinate all aircraft maintenance related communications, procedures, inspection schedules between the operators, maintainers, and Alliance Fort Worth Adversary Center of Excellence (ACE). The Maintenance Liaison is required to report directly to the Vice President of ATAC ACE and provide support and coordination between the ACE DOM and the Tyndall DO.

The Tyndall Maintenance Liaison will report to the Vice President of ATAC ACE, coordinate with the ACE Director of Flight Operations (DFO), and the Tyndall regional Director of Operation (DO) for activities related to aircraft maintenance in support of customer requirements. The Maintenance Liaison will ensure adequate coordination and communication of maintenance of maintenance related activities in support of Tyndall operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Required to be an operationally active fighter pilot within ATAC.
  • Responsible for oversight and monitoring of all maintenance related activities at Tyndall OL
  • Aware of aircraft life cycle and aircraft related components & subcomponents for maximum business efficiency.
  • Monitoring of all aircraft and engine repair and overhaul requirements.
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety regulations, policies and procedures in accordance with all Federal, State, corporate and company requirements.
  • Required to coordinate with the Director of Safety, ACE Safety Manager and ACE Ground Safety Manager regarding all maintenance related activities.
  • Liaise with all host base maintenance and facilities POC’s as required
  • Responsible for the oversight of all Maintenance related General Operating Procedures (GOP’s) and training for ACE.
  • Responsible to provide input on maintenance personnel evaluations.
  • Support ACE DOM in the oversight of all company policy and procedures related to Maintenance (Flight Operations Manuals, GOP’s, maintenance manuals, and Training)
  • Responsible for providing operational risk management oversight for all maintenance activities and personnel actions as appropriate.
  • Provide input to ACE DOM on maintenance manpower requirements for Tyndall
  • Responsible for providing corrective action for all Tyndall maintenance audits as appropriate.
  • Network with industry and government for future maintenance operations.


Qualifications
:

  • Minimum 10 years of prior Military Fighter Experience
  • Tactical fighter aviation experience within last 5 years
  • Aviation Maintenance Management Experience
  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience
  • Military leadership experience desired
  • Demonstrated experience or has had training in the following:
    • AMS Management Systems
    • Risk Management
    • Human factors and the decision-making process
    • Accident prevention
  • Must maintain a security clearance
  • Clear written and verbal communications
  • Ability to Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Work well in a team environment
