Field Supervisor

General Function:
A Field Supervisor is to insure the smooth daily operation of the shift to which he/she is assigned and assist the Operations Manager in managing overall field operations activities.
Reports To:
Director of Operations/Operations Manager
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Comply with all corporate policies and procedures and Job Description for the certification level of the Supervisor
- Shift Task List:
- A structured daily task list will be made available to the shift supervisor and shall be completed in its entirety in a timely manner and without exception, every day.
- All duties outlined in the EMT (All Levels) or Paramedic Job Description
- Maintaining the necessary EMT (All Levels) or Paramedic certification level as required by the State of Georgia Department of Human Resources
- Maintaining current status as a BLS and/or ACLS provider or instructor
- Maintaining assigned ambulance in a state of constant cleanliness and readiness to respond to emergency and non-emergency calls
- Appropriately and safely respond to calls when dispatched
- Rendering appropriate medical care, within the scope of practice of the certification level of the Supervisor, under the guidance of established medical protocols and standing orders
- Appropriately and safely transporting the patient to the appropriate destination, under the guidance of established medical protocols and standing orders
- Accurate and expedient completion of all documentation related to transport of a patient, whether written or verbal
- Perform other related tasks as required by the respective operation
- Responsible for oversight of operations during their respective shifts to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting customer needs as well as the communities need through adequate staffing
- Responsible for all activities that occur during their duty shift providing updates and information to their supervisor as needed.
- Perform any other tasks required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
- Current EMS Licensure for the level of certification through the State of Georgia and current BLS and/or ACLS certification
- Demonstrated ability to work well with people, both internally and with external customers
- Maintaining current valid driver’s license
Required Experience:
- Minimum 6 years operational experience
- Minimum 2 years experience with Community Ambulance
- Accountability evaluation reflective of exemplary performance
- Previous supervisory experience preferred:
