Business Need / Purpose of Role: Under the direction of the Regional VP/Director Sales, the Field Sales Engineer is responsible for maintaining direct contact with customers and engineering firms, providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance, assisting during test trial execution, and primarily being a selling agent to help achieve the short and long range process equipment sales objectives established in the Company’s Operating Plan in accordance with company policies and procedures.Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities:

Minimum 4 years cumulative post collegiate experience in the application, engineering, operations, and/or technical sales of mineral processing equipment. Varied knowledge and application of Weir Minerals North America product lines is preferred. Intermediate proficiency with software applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and technical presentation capability are required.
Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsRequires a valid driver’s license and the ability to rent or lease an automobile. Current passport is also required.
Other Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust be technically capable of applying product knowledge and understanding to sophisticated industrial and mineral processing applications.
