The Field Human Resources Manager will provide direct HR support to a group of three NVA-CF hospitals at three locations (South Deerfield, West Bridgewater, West Springfield). The HR Manager will support the Hospital Leadership teams and will provide direct HR support on a variety of topics including HR escalations, HR compliance, employee-related disciplinary meetings, maintaining local, state and federal compliance, assisting in compensation and benefit plan review and execution. To be successful in this role, you should have a good knowledge of state and local labor regulations.

The HR Manager will work closely with and receive support from NVA C-F’s People Team and field operations leadership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Hospital Leadership to maintain employee engagement and build hospital culture

· Support staff and managers on day-to-day HR issues including employee escalations, investigations and general inquiries

· Conduct employee investigations as needed, ensure consistent application of policies and procedures

· Communicate hospital policies and procedures to all employees and ensure hospital standards are met

· Updating hospital employee handbooks

· Ensure all HR hospital operations adhere to legal standards

· Design and implement company policies that comply with our business objectives

· Lead benefits renewal and comparison process annually and drive open enrollment

· Set performance standards and evaluate local HR team

· Define onboarding procedures in alignment with our company culture

· Help organize employer branding activities (e.g. host a recruitment event)

· Determine training plans per employee and departments as needed

· Support staff and managers on day-to-day issues

· Ensure balance of physical presence in each site

· Coordinate with NVA-CF People Team to craft organization-wide strategies and objectives

· Support recruiting events

· Develop, shape and lead HR Special projects with guidance and feedback from the Hospital Leadership Teams and NVA C-F Field Operations Leadership

· Provide benefits/shopping analysis to remain competitive with offers in the area

· Process all leave paperwork for staff with an emphasis on PFMLA

· Update and maintain personnel files

Skills/Requirements

· Proven work experience as an Field HR Manager or similar role

· Good knowledge of local labor regulations

· Hands-on experience with payroll systems and Human Resources Management Software

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Self-motivated individual who can manage multiple projects at once

· Strong relationship-building skills, finding ways to go the extra mile with clients and partners

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or relevant field

· Demonstrated proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

· Some existing knowledge of animal health/medical field recommended but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

· Able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time

· Able to perform all duties and responsibilities as described

· Able to function as a team member within veterinary hospital setting

· Able to be positive, supportive and encouraging as needed

· Able to travel as needed between multiple sites weekly

Able to travel as required to attend a variety of meetings within the US

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $1.00 per year
