Fiber to the Home (FTTH) Installation Technicians are the face of our company.
North Sky is currently looking for motivated individuals with a high attention to detail and excellent customer relations skills for in home installation work in Canby, Oregon.

We are willing to train the right person who is looking for a long-term career.

Technical:

  • Installs, disconnects, reconnects, adds, changes, and troubleshoots cable TV, internet, telephone and/or alarm equipment in accordance with guidelines

  • Uses small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment. Ensures that service operates within prescribed parameters

  • Attempts to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived problems

  • Drives company vehicle between home/office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner

  • Cleans, maintains, and stocks vehicle and equipment in order to be prepared to perform required duties

  • Completes paperwork accurately, and reports and records work order status updates

  • Knowledge of coax, CAT5, fiber optic installation a plus


Customer Service:

  • Greet customers in the home while conducting walk thru

  • Reviews all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement

  • Interacts with customers in a professional, courteous manner including when responding to escalations and repeated customer concerns

  • Provide customer education regarding product and service usage


Qualifications:

  • Must have 2-3 years of fiber installation experience
  • Must have a great attitude
  • Must have great customer service skills
  • Must maintain a clean appearance
  • Must have a great attention to detail and take pride in your work
  • Must be able to maintain schedules, be prompt and punctual
  • Must have the ability to carry at least a 28' ladder and work on ladders / poles up to 25’
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • We can teach you the rest if you are willing to learn
  • Valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience and a good driving record
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be available to work weekends as needed

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.


Physical Requirements:

  • Overhead lifting, climbing & carrying ladders with a weight of up to 75 lbs

  • Working 3- feet above ground level

  • Working in enclosed space

  • Working in inclement weather

  • Walking and climbing, kneeling and crouching
