Facility Security Coordinator

The Facility Security Coordinatorwill provide day-to-day supervision of security staff at an assigned client site.Thelocationrepresents high risk and significant visibility to the client'scustomers.Essential Functions:
- Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Maintain communication with management regarding the status of emergency situations and ensure subordinates respond proactively and appropriately.
- Serve as the primary point of contract for the Facility Security Manager.
- Respond to requests from individual facilities for security and investigation services;
- Assist in coordinating and/or performing investigations, as required.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security department at the client site.
- Ensure the correct and consistent administration of the client & Pinkerton Service Agreement.
- Research and provide recommendations on the implementation of best practices and other key initiatives;
- Ensure Pinkerton policies and procedures are updated, implemented, and adhered to.
- Inspect and evaluate risk and ensure adequate coverage for client sites including compliance with Post Procedural Manual and the client's Risk Based Security Program;
- Provide recommendations to the Facility Security Manager.
- Ensure baseline hours are scheduled and worked;
- Review and audit weekly billing of baseline and service request hours and take corrective actions.
- Assist the Facility Security Manager in the approval of overtime scheduling to control security cost and overtime.
- Oversee the scheduling of security personnel for all facility special events, service requests, and training requirements are met.
- Inspect each security post regularly, check for post housekeeping, Post Procedure Manual, and necessary emergency call listings;
- If applicable ensure that all fire and emergency equipment is inspected.
- Maintain fire equipment inspections, maintenance, and repair records.
- Provide guidance and direction to all supervisors and Facility Security Agents especially in emergency response situations;
- Promote a proactive attitude in meeting the security and safety needs of the client.
- Monitor daily the content and quality of reports prepared by security personnel and provide guidance as necessary.
- Responsible for the evaluation of site information, occurrences and incidents, and communicating information to the Pinkerton regional management group and appropriate client site personnel.
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate effective communication with outside emergency agencies.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED with law enforcement, military, and/or security experience. Illinois PERC required.
