Job Details Description
Facilities Maintenance Technician:
- Hours 7:30 - 3:00 M-F
- Once a month minimal Saturday hours required
- Some maintenance ability
- Tasks include, painting, small repairs, keeping up with room requests for supplies, cleanups & garbage removal when necessary
- Snow removal & salting sidewalks when necessary
- Consistent attendance is a must
- Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of classrooms and other areas of the agencies property
- Inspect classroom areas to determine if custodial work is properly done
- Assist in the moving of office and institutional furniture and equipment
- Train new employees in maintenance and custodial duties
- The Facility Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the operation of the Facilities Dept. in the absence of the Facilities Manager.
- You may need to travel to our other locations on occasion which are within 10 minutes of each other.
- Perform any other duties as requested by your supervisor
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Graduation from High School or Vocational School, or possession of a High School Equivalency Diploma (GED), and 2 years of experience in commercial cleaning practices and general facility maintenance. Must be knowledgeable and experienced in two of the following trades: carpentry, HVAC systems, electrical and/or plumbing. Knowledge of computerized work order systems and HVAC control systems.
