- seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in an IT organization including thorough experience in an IT support function
- two (2) years experience in a supervisory or project leader role
- or equivalent
- A valid driver's license issued by the state of residency
Preferred Qualifications:- 5 yrs exp in managing SQL database/Oracle sys; 5+ yrs of exp w/ Archibus (or sim CAFM sys),
AutoCAD training/exp w/understanding of spec relationships & exp in reading floor plans, BIM,
BOMA,OSCRE, &/or related bldg & space mgmt standards; Cert Proj Mngr
Job Duties (Summary):- Manages department’s IS assets (hardware and software), personnel and projects, this includes managing the help desk and projects performed by the Courts Vendor, manages inventory of computer assets, and software and purchasing efforts; develops CAD standards and drafts floor plans in CAD; administers Archibus database (e.g., sets up and manages system, programs and customizes system, implements new modules and user groups, implements database upgrades), this includes FM Works (PDA application), 2 websites, AutoCAD, and Energy Watchdog; develops Visual Basic and XML scripts to run in ARCHIBUS; programs PDA software; develops training manuals for ARCHIBUS modules and the CAFM website; manages CAFM partner; manages technical setup and maintenance for Archibus and other related software; researches information needs; ensures system is meeting defined needs.
- Plan, coordinates and conducts training sessions, and trains new employees; provides assistance and training to end users for program explanation and operation.
- Works with web developer to maintain and develop new modules in the ARCHIBUS/FM software; coordinates system/program installation and operation with system/program supplier; maintains relationship with Archibus, Inc. by attending and presenting at annual conference); markets Archibus to other departments and
agencies. - Serves as project manager for Facilities and various other department/agencies; (i.e., designs and develops the software to better meet the County’s needs; estimates projects; schedules time and manages budget).
- Manages budget for IS and CAFM (Archibus); provides technical assistance and coordinates with vendor support for repair and maintenance of computer systems and associated peripheral equipment; manages contracts and service agreements related to CAFM.
- Attends IPAC and CMS Net meetings (County IT meetings), and Archibus UG meetings (regional and user meetings); serves on various agency boards/or committees; creates and administers departmental newsletter.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; may travels to various job sites to perform job duties.
- Performs special projects and duties as assigned.
