We are a successful, growing, woman owned accounting services firm with clients and employees throughout the US. We provide bookkeeping, payroll and business consulting services to small and mid-size businesses.

We are seeking an exceptional, experienced, tech savvy Bookkeeper Team Leader to join us in creating amazing outcomes for our clients and professional enrichment for our team members.

This is a full-time, work from home, salary position, with some flexibility of hours. You must be available weekdays during daytime hours for most of your daily responsibilities. You will be assigned clients and projects with deadlines, but the specific times you work will be up to you. This should be you primary job, so if you have your own clients or another job, this is NOT a good fit for you to pick up some extra part-time work.

As a Bookkeeper Team Leader you would be leading a team of approximately 4-6 other Extraordinary Bookkeepers, in addition to performing bookkeeping duties for your own assigned direct client.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:
80% Direct client bookkeeping of multiple, assigned accounts
10% On-boarding of new clients including collecting essential information, clean-ups, setting them up in systems such as QuickBooks, Bill.com and Dext
10% Review and analysis of your team's client financial reports
10% Daily on-call support of other bookkeeping staff.

Daily Duties May Include

  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Managing and reconciling bank and credit cards statements
  • New account clean-ups, sometimes from a shoe box of unsorted receipts and dog-eared statements
  • Creating and presenting financial reports to your clients
  • Payroll processing for multiple clients using Gusto
  • Organizing, systematizing and documenting processes and procedures
  • Working with the team to manage deadlines and project goals
  • QuickBooks, Applications & general bookkeeping support for other team members and clients
  • Mastering apps such as QuickBooks Time, Bill.com, Dext and SmartVault
  • Assisting in operational efforts and other projects as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • If you are a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, experienced with cloud accounting apps and working in an remote setting with multiple clients, you will go to the front of the line!
  • You must have recent experiences leading others in a dynamic multi-client environment.
  • We're always looking for experience in a few niche industries, so if you have experience or have specific experience in industries such as Real Estate Investing, Summer Camps, Agencies, Member organizations, Business Coaching and / or other Professional Services, then make sure you tell us about it!
  • High level proficiency with multiple versions of QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online is a MUST) and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote & Teams)
  • Deep experience in full-charge bookkeeping, with multiple clients, and solid knowledge of basic accounting principles. (Yes there will be a assessment test to apply.)
  • Ability to create and interpret financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, P&Ls, cash flows, etc.
  • Very tech savvy - comfortable using and learning the newest accounting and office technologies.
  • A strong working knowledge of payroll processing.
  • Experience working in a multiple client environment.
  • You need to be efficient, productive, self-motivated and comfortable working at your home using online technologies.
  • Hyper-organized, able to handle a large variety of projects and tasks and make sure nothing slips between the cracks.
  • Meticulous degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and solution oriented, able to figure out how to get new projects and tasks done.
  • Well-spoken and articulate in communicating professionally and informally over the phone, on video conferences, in person, and in writing.
