Under the supervision of the Assistant Director for Advising & Coaching, this position serves as a primary advisor for undergraduate students exploring majors & minors/certificates, considering change-of-major, or who are referred for assistance in identifying or considering new academic paths at Georgia Tech. Advising services include individual appointment-based, and group-based, and drop-in interactions, as well as participation in exploratory advising programming for current and prospective students, including facilitating classroom presentations and workshops. Participation in GTAAN (Georgia Tech Academic Advisors Network) and profressional organizations is expected, as is keeping abreast of best practices and current trends in academic & exploratory advising.
Meet with students concerning questions and issues regarding various aspects of their academic program.
