Employment Type : Full-Time
Our beloved chair side assistant with 25 years of dental experience is retiring in February 2021! We are a well-established small private practice in search of a long-term amazing chair side assistant for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Our patient treatment hours are: 9-5 p.m. with an hour lunch. Maintenance can be completed at your discretion on a non-patient day if you don’t have time to complete during our regular hours, though my current assistant found she had plenty of time to complete ordering supplies/office maintenance procedures during patient treatment days. We schedule to allow for plenty of time to provide unrushed, high quality treatment and patient service from one restorative operatory (the hygienist also has one hygiene operatory). This ensures that stress for the doctor and staff is kept to a minimum and there is plenty of time for other duties to be completed and still enjoy life apart from the office. During the school year, we are closed to patient care when LISD is closed: spring break, the week of Thanksgiving, and Christmas break. We are also closed one week during the summer break. We are very strict about infection control/cross contamination. We have digital X-rays, Dentrix, intraoral cameras, an extra oral camera, and we require all clinical staff to wear (minimally) a headlamp while treating patients as we have no overhead dental lights. Because we are 100% digital, you must be comfortable with computers and have excellent typing skills. We primarily care for ages 12 and up. I have a wonderful hygienist with 23 years of clinical experience, and one business manager who has been with the practice over 10 years. Both are easy to get along with and extremely talented in their positions and have been with me for years. I hope to find a long-term assistant who is local to my practice. I have a small, fee-for-service practice (we are not in-network with any insurance companies) that began in 2001. I finished-out a new office and moved across the street at our current and final location in 2016. My practice is not high-volume and fouces on serving patients who are looking for high-quality cosmetic dentistry with personalized, caring attention. We treat everyone as we would a family member, and are very blessed to have such outstanding and appreciative patients. I am very picky about the type of care I provide and take great pride in the dentistry that I offer. My practice is limited to cosmetic dentistry.no root canals, removable dentures/partials, amalgam fillings, and rarely, extractions. I enjoy providing meticulously-placed composite fillings, esthetic crowns, all porcelain veneers and onlays, and restoring implant crowns/bridges. We use the Isodry system for 95% of all posterior restorative cases. I rely on my assistant to fabricate all provisionals—-they must fit well, be highly polished, and look natural in the esthetic zone. We also provide custom whitening trays made by the assistant and full arch occlusal guards made by a dental lab. People who like drama, or those who aren't enthusiastic and truly love being an assistant need not apply. Qualities that would work well with our team would be someone with a warm and friendly disposition, independent/self-motivated, confident, punctual, loves to have fun, and is professional. Please take a look at my website and business Facebook to see if you feel we would be a good match for what you're looking for in a long-term dental home: www.drchenault.com and www.facebook.com/drchenault. If interested, please email cover letter/resume, along with hourly wage, benefit requirements, or any other questions. Hourly wage will be based on mastery of skills and experience.
