The Executive Director of Data Science position is responsible for managing all data science activities specific to the Data-Driven Marketing vertical. The candidate will lead a talented and curious team of problem solvers as both mentor and contributor to the data science deliverables. This manager will provide and demonstrate analytical and modeling expertise and deliver credibility to the sales cycle. The ideal candidate has experience managing these activities in a Hadoop environment using Agile methods, with strong acumen for technical writing and visualizations that delineate their solutions and results. Job Responsibilities: Prioritization: Assigning the right people for the right tasks with a keen awareness of service level agreements. Building and maintaining a data science roadmap that enhances our deliverables and processes. Management: Strong communication and transparency maintained between cross-functional leadership. Proactive evaluation and feedback cycles for quality and performance of employees. Clear ability to hold, share, and request accountability. Mentorship: Must be able to coach your entire team. The novice may need edits to language, while the expert may need to learn leadership skills. Process Optimization: Adept at prioritizing and recognizing opportunities for automation. Manage the benchmarks and efficiencies gained through process optimization. Knowledge Transfer: Manage the creation of documentation and reports as necessary. Interact with clients, strategists, and other teams to engineer solutions, share knowledge, and enhance the functions of the business. Education: Masters Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Physical Sciences Expiernece: 8 years in Analytics and Modelling. Experience managing in a Hadoop environment using Agile methods Experience managing all data science activities specific to the Data-Driven Marketing vertical SQL, R, and Python code Preferred Qualifications (PQs) Education: PHD in Applies Statistics Experience: 10 years with 6 years’ experience in progressively responsible roles as a Data Scientist and DS Leader.
