We are looking for an experienced IT Platform Engineer to join our expanding Enterprise Technical Services team who is highly motivated, team oriented, and committed to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and delivering quality products and services.

As a Platform Operations Engineer, your team will assist in the development, implementation, and management of core infrastructure services such as Virtualization, Data Protection and Recovery, Cloud Operations, Active Directory and Windows-based systems across the enterprise.

The responsibilities range from working with product and service stewards, Field Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to implement new Platform capabilities. You will join a highly technical team that supports and manages our Microsoft Active Directory Domains, Windows-based systems across the enterprise, Directory and Identity Management solutions.

Key Functions:

  • Primary responsibility is to support and manage Active Directory, Azure AD and Identity Management services across the enterprise.
  • Assist in the support of other common infrastructure services such as Virtualization and Microsoft Services such as DNS, DHCP, NPS and Certificate Management.
  • Maintenance and upgrades of all facets of Weyerhaeuser’s enterprise Active Directory environment.
  • Maintain and ensure service-level and availability of Active Directory infrastructure.
  • Manage Windows server and workstation-based operating systems (including Windows 2003-2016) via Active Directory Group Policy.
  • Perform quarterly IT controls and governance tasks.
  • Maintain and update Procedures, IT Controls and Governance documentation
  • Stewardship of Active Directory Domain including directory and identity management solutions.
  • Assist in driving Infrastructure Modernization efforts.
  • Build and maintain infrastructure automation solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive, relevant information technology experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years as an Infrastructure Administrator and/or Engineer.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Server and Virtual Infrastructure administration.
  • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent collaboration skills working across all IT teams.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations to technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of cloud, backup, storage, and server technologies.
  • Experience in monitoring, incident handling, troubleshooting, patching, day-to-day infrastructure administration, upgrades, installation of new systems, vulnerability remediation, and supporting process definition and implementation, and troubleshooting, cybersecurity.
  • Proven ability to operate and effectively communicate while under pressure; as well as the ability to manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints with minimal supervision.
  • Actively works to learn new skills to stay current with changing technologies and industry trends.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office365 tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Teams and SharePoint.

Individuals with any of the following experiences/knowledge, in addition to the requirements stated above, will be considered stronger candidates:

  • Experience supporting Virtual Environments (VMWare)
  • Experience supporting Multi Factor Authentication
  • Experience supporting Single Sign-on Authentication
  • Experience supporting Azure, Azure AD and AWS Cloud Environments.
  • Experience developing automation scripts and tasks to drive efficiencies.
  • Experience working with Automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.).
  • Experience designing and managing complex systems.
  • Experience working with Agile and Scrum project methodologies.
