As an Escrow Assistant, you will learn and get trained on the following:

  • Assist escrow officer with real estate transactions from inception to closing
  • Communicate with and obtain information from all parties to the transaction, third-party vendors, homeowner and condo associations, etc.
  • Open escrow, deposit funds and maintain records in our system
  • Knowledgeable in the preparation and use of all transaction documents pertaining to refinance and sale transactions
  • Prepare escrow documents by assisting with the review and completion of various statements, closing disclosure forms and other related documents
  • Prior to disbursement, confirm all funds are collected, all appropriate documents are checked for accuracy, signatures are collected, and acknowledgements and legal descriptions are correct
  • Communicate with the realtors, lenders and parties to the transaction
  • Proactive focus, addressing inquiries from internal and external parties professionally and timely and communication to escrow officer in order to rectifying issues immediately
  • Balance and disburse funds
Requirements:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Escrow Assistant in the title/escrow industry
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent customer service skills

Language Skills:

Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to write and speak effectively. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Mathematical Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to quickly assimilate oral and written data to analyze facts and draw logical conclusions. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

High level of proficiency with computers, software including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other technology.
