The Equipment Operator effectively and safely manages the crew to complete daily tasks. All workers may also act as drivers to work sites, so CDL Licenses and a clean motor vehicle report are preferred.

• Supervises and manages tree care crew.
• Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.
• Oversee equipment and material usage.

Supervisory Responsibility

The Equipment Operator supervises the crew members and assigned projects and operates the aerial lift.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Crew Leader is working outdoors, exposed to all temperatures, weather, and nature. The employee will be exposed to excessive noise.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to bend, stand, and lift 80 lbs

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Specific hours will be assigned by your supervisor.

Travel

Travel may be required.

Education and Experience

• Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand contract requirements.
• Knowledge of botanical and common names of trees and plants.
• Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Possess a valid Commerical Driver’s License and clean MVR.
• Certified in line clearance tree trimming.
• Qualified to operate equipment.

Position requires employee to be able to pass a background check and drug screen as required for this job.
