JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for selling dental equipment and enterprise technology products and related financing. Key performance elements include: sales volume, sales growth rates, gross margin attainment, accounts receivables with credit team communications, inventory management, high quality-efficient installations, and customer satisfaction (both internal and external customers).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform equipment and enterprise technology selling function to prospective customers.
- Oversee the preparation process of customer site with customer, contractors, and HSD designated Certified Technician, Digital Technology and Equipment Sales Specialist, Field Sales Consultants, and Special Markets Account Management Team
- Complete Equipment Order Agreement, including customer signatures and documentation of all pertinent details of project (scope of work). Communicate and execute company terms of sale. Collect deposit (if any), obtain customer signature, purchase orders, grant acceptance letters, collect balance (or finalize financing documents) on or before delivery. Work with Bid Team on all RFPs, bids, and quotes as required
- Remain well versed on various equipment and technology HSD and vendor offerings.
- Participate in special projects, trade shows, etc. and perform other duties as requested by Management.
- Deliver a unique and superior customer experience with regard to purchasing and financing dental equipment.
- Sell quality technology products with a high level of service while maintaining high gross margins.
- Achieve annual sales goals as established with Special Markets Account Management and Leadership Team.
- Attend equipment installation (or minimally make contact with customer on day of installation), communicate with customer on installation progress, ensure all follow-up work is done on a timely basis.
- Co-travel with all Henry Schein TSM’s to create new leads and “train” TSM’s on prospecting.
SCOPE:
Typically manage a moderately complex section of a department, a small department, large process or multiple smaller processes. Make recommendations for executing on plans in accordance with the policies and directives of senior management. Accountable for meeting the operating objectives of the department. Provide guidance to staff within the latitude of established company policies. Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Assure adherence to and manage approved budgets. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the sub-function's future direction.
COMPLEXITY:
Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Act as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve problems. Full knowledge of multiple areas within sub-function derived from experience in non-management roles. Focus on executing goals in an accurate and timely manner.
STRATEGY:
Implement strategy to further the sub-function's larger goals through the work of professional staff. Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the sub-function.
SUPERVISION:
Manage work and goals of professional level staff performing non-routine work or who manage a process or system. May have subordinate supervisors.
INTERACTION:
Interact with senior management and/or customers, normally involving matters between functional areas and/or other company divisions or units. Often must lead a collaborative effort among members of a project team.
MANAGEMENT DUTIES:
Typically can hire, terminate, or promote; another level of approval may be required. Makes decisions on salary increases, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.
Qualifications
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience; 1 or more years of management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Understand WAN, MAN, and LAN computer networking configurations.
- Ability to sell SQL, Terminal Services, Citrix, Domain computer server products.
- Ability to sell routers, switches, computer rack and wiring equipment and services.
- Clearly communicate HL7 protocols and UDS reporting
- Understand All Dental Equipment as it relates to Chairs, Units, Lights, X-ray,
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Typically, to advance to a new job level, TSMs must demonstrate professional behavior and should consistently be at the high-end of meets expectations or consistently exceed expectations.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Travel typically more than 50%. No special physical demands required.
OTHER
- The compensation for this position is $80,000-$120,000 a range which represents typical starting salary for candidates based on proficiency in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for an additional bonus based on performance not reflected in the posted range.
