Environmental Technician Details

SLR International Corporation (SLR) is currently seeking an hourly-as-needed Environmental Technician to support and fulfill various environmental technician duties at a client landfill and transfer station sites. The primary work locations for this role include the Sonoma and Richmond, California area. In addition to supporting daily operations and maintenance duties at the client landfill site, job responsibilities will include groundwater monitoring and sampling, pump operations and repair, stormwater damage mitigation and repair, and general facility maintenance.

SLR will provide on the job training for this hourly-as-needed opportunity. Preferred candidates will have at least two years of experience in construction or field services, but we encourage candidates with varying levels of experience to apply for consideration. Candidates local to the Sonoma and Richmond, California area and surrounding areas are highly preferred.

Job Description

Minimum Requirements:
  • GED or High School diploma
  • Team player able to effectively communicate with managers, and client
  • At least 2 years of experience in construction or field services with strong record of attendance and punctuality
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices including OSHA compliance training
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with data collection, and stormwater management concepts preferred
  • Experience using hand and power tools and light equipment
  • Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds and work during storm conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation to and from job sites in the Sonoma and Richmond, California area
  • Ability to routinely pass client-required drug screenings


Key Responsibilities
