We issue air, water, and solid and hazardous waste permits that restrict discharges to environmentally safe levels. Staff members inspect and monitor regulated entities; provide compliance and technical assistance; monitor and assess air, land, and water quality; use enforcement actions as necessary to ensure compliance; and respond to incidents involving spills to soil or waters of the state. The base salary for this position is $38,688. The Environmental Manager works in the Indiana air pollution control program in the Ambient Monitoring Section of the Office of Air Quality. In this role, you are responsible for operating and maintaining Particulate, Speciation, Lead, Ozone, Sulfur Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxides, and Meteorological monitors statewide in Indiana. Your additional duties will include retrieval and validation of data from the instruments.
