- Proactive recruiting assistance
- Maintain employee personnel records
- Act as benefits administrator including new enrollment, benefit updates and changes, notifying new hires of plan benefits, and administering COBRA.
- Process and record background clearances, personal and character references and all pre-hire documents as necessitated by state, federal and accrediting bodies.
- Prepare audits, reports, and data on personnel as required by management staff.
- Refer all concerns regarding all Department of Labor and Fair Labor Standards Act, Affirmative Action and other federal, state, and local laws to Program Directors and/or Executive Director.
- Implement and administer employee policies
- Ensure all employee files meet requirements as outlined by all contract and State of Florida statutes/laws
- Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
Job Expectations
- Offer proactive recruiting assistance
- Assist in the documentation of disciplinary actions as required.
- Support the management staff in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations
- Conduct new staff training as necessary to ensure compliance with Caring Community Counseling LLC policies and procedures.
- Prepare termination and severance letters
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries.
- Assist with payroll processing
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Administer new employee onboarding and orientation
- Identify future staffing needs
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary
Qualifications
- 3 + years of experience in HR
- Strong knowledge of hiring processes
- Customer-focused attitude, with a high level of professionalism and discretion
- Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
- Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
- Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance
- Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
