- Maintain, upgrade and monitor wafer fabrication equipment
- Monitor statistical process control or high-volume manufacturing equipment
- Drive equipment performance to maximize capacity and yield performance
- Reduce cost performance of equipment
- Write and maintain equipment specifications
- Improve equipment reliability and availability
- Work with peers and technicians to develop maintenance and troubleshooting skills
- Prevent and reduce wafer scrap
- Reduce equipment defectivity
- Identify and qualify alternate parts
- Create and drive hard down action plans
- Work with vendors to develop and implement equipment upgrades
- Participate in and/or lead cross-functional and lean activity teams
- Identify and reduce sources of variation
Qualifications
- Position requires BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering preferred)
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing a plus
- Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility.
- Good problem-solving skills
