Entry Level Equipment Engineer Details

Employment Type : Full-Time

  • Maintain, upgrade and monitor wafer fabrication equipment
  • Monitor statistical process control or high-volume manufacturing equipment
  • Drive equipment performance to maximize capacity and yield performance
  • Reduce cost performance of equipment
  • Write and maintain equipment specifications
  • Improve equipment reliability and availability
  • Work with peers and technicians to develop maintenance and troubleshooting skills
  • Prevent and reduce wafer scrap
  • Reduce equipment defectivity
  • Identify and qualify alternate parts
  • Create and drive hard down action plans
  • Work with vendors to develop and implement equipment upgrades
  • Participate in and/or lead cross-functional and lean activity teams
  • Identify and reduce sources of variation

Qualifications

  • Position requires BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing a plus
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues and shifting priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with multiple disciplines in a 24x7 manufacturing facility.
  • Good problem-solving skills
