Quick Supply Company is a family-owned business that began serving the construction industry in 1938 supplying explosives and offering blasting services to limestone quarries throughout the Midwest. Today, we offer blasting services throughout the Midwest and Southeast. In addition to explosives, we stock a complete line of geosynthetics, erosion/sediment control products, and also landscape materials with coast-to-coast locations.

Overview:
This is an exciting entry-level position at our Black Creek, WI location! As a laborer you will support the Blasting Department and receive on the job training to prepare/layout planned explosive related shots. In addition, this position will also assist in the transport to explosive materials to/from customer locations, loading/unloading trucks, warehouse maintenance and other related duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist to transport explosive and other materials to job site
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Eagerness to learn and assist the Blaster in charge and crew with shot layout.
- Develops a solid understanding of proper explosives product use and various applications
- Understands and follows company safety policies and procedures and performs work in a safe manner
- Attends all company meetings and safety training as required
- Must be flexible to customer demands including scheduling and working around weather changes
- Warehouse operation/maintenance
- All other duties as assigned
Job requirements and qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver s License with a good driving record - insurable
- Meet all State and Federal explosives laws as set forth by the BATF
- Meet all FMSCR requirements
- Team Player with good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to pass background check, pre-employment screening and random drug/alcohol screenings
- Great teamwork skills
- Must be self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to follow instruction and take direction
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and have the ability to lift 50lbs or more
- Willingness to work long hours, particularly during the high peak business season.
- Walks/traverses, stands on rough terrain, bends frequently, climbs ladders, steps and other elevated platforms
