Job Title:Entry-level Field Technician - Interns & ApprenticesDepartment:OperationsReports To / Works With:Team Manager / Lead Field TechniciansJob Summary:As an Entry-level Field Technician - Intern/Apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training within a structured learning program at MOSS. On a daily basis, you will accompany the MOSS field technicians on customer job sites, performing a variety of hands-on tasks involving the installation and service of low-voltage cabling, A/V, paging/mass notification, networking and network security systems. This is a paid opportunity for both interns and apprentices with the possibility of a full-time position after the initial training period. Attendance Requirements:Core hours: Monday - Friday, between 7 am - 5 pm.Work Environment:Work sites include both new construction and renovation and may be either inside or outside.Physical Demands:

  • Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
  • Some lifting of objects up to 75 lbs. is required.
  • Reaching, grasping and carrying activities are also required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
  • Observance of all safety rules and regulations set forth by state, federal and local.
Personal Protective Equipment:Work boots, hard hat, respirator, hi-visibility vest and safety glasses.Qualifications:

  • Exhibit responsible behavior, self-motivated, self-starter, and well-organized.

  • Familiarity with construction drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills.
