POSITION PURPOSE:
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for strategy, direction, and oversight of the organization’s technology required to support business operations. The individual must demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the organization through design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. The resource should have a strong technical background with experience defining 5-10 year strategies for enterprise applications ecosystems, as executed through industry-standard project management frameworks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
- Through a lens of governance, risk, and compliance, the individual should develop and maintain the roadmap of enterprise applications.
- Design and facilitate migration of core business systems, focusing on cloud-based solutions.
- Ensure security and survivability of critical business systems.
- When viable, optimize organizational efficiency through consolidation of competing systems.
- Assess and oversee enhancements of business-facing software applications.
- Align the project portfolio with business objectives.
- Collaborate with team to develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Define project scope, goals, budget, and deliverables to support business goals.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members and contractors, influencing them to take positive action and accountability.
- Work to implement and maintain continuous improvement within the organization, including standards and best practices.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technical related field required.
- Project Management (PMP) or formal project management certification preferred.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- 7 years’ experience leading deployments and/or support for ERP solutions, preferably based around the Microsoft Dynamics suite (AX/NAV/GP and D365)
- 5 years leading/supporting complex SharePoint and/or SharePoint Online environments
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Apps
- Experience with ECM/Document Management solutions
- Experience with Office 365 (O365) and integrations
- Strong financial background preferred
- 3 years’ experience with application development preferred
- 3 years’ supporting Microsoft Project Server preferred
- Experience with CRM, PLM, BI, Construction Project Management and web development preferred
- Software development experience preferred
