Engineering Director, Syndication Partnerships Details

Olo - New York, NY

Employment Type : Full-Time

At Olo we develop an online food ordering platform used by many of the country's largest restaurant chains, reaching millions of consumers. Chances are if you've ordered directly from a restaurant brand's app or marketplace website, we've made that happen. In addition to providing front end white label ordering, Olo also syndicates menus and receives orders from the county's largest restaurant marketplaces like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub.
Olo is growing and we need leaders like you to help us scale. Olo is seeking a new Director of Engineering to join the Syndication Partnerships team. The Syndication Partnerships team ensures that Olo’s Rails marketplace relationships, virtual brands and other syndication partnerships, such as reservations and listings management, are successful.
As a senior member of Olo’s Syndication Partnerships leadership team you will play a significant and visible role in helping us scale one of the most advanced food ordering platforms in the market. You’ll oversee several Engineering Managers, including those over our marketplace relationships and those in charge of our newly formed virtual brands and ghost kitchens team.
You will support the Engineering team’s efforts to design, develop, scale, and monitor solutions, improvements, and services. You'll work with a smart, passionate team dedicated to delivering amazing products using modern tools and technologies. Our tech stack is rooted in .NET (C# and F#) and SQL Server running in AWS infrastructure and modern software engineering tools such as GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Datadog, and Sumo Logic, and heavy use of OSS.

  • Establish and maintain a high engineering bar with rigorous, yet agile development.
  • Guide the development of the team's vision and execution while removing impediments to the team's progress.
  • Assist in driving budgeting and staffing efforts in line with business objectives and constraints.
  • Serve as the escalation point both internally and externally relative to customer incidents on behalf of your teams.
What We'll Expect from you
