ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS LISTING:
- Evaluate and improve processes in manufacturing systems to include production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Collect and record data, as well as, prepare samples showing results in reports.
- Work with equipment designers and manufacturing officers to develop a cost-effective and working production process.
- Ensure projects are completed on time.
- Ensure financial budgets are followed.
- Research and stay current on all new manufacturing technology.
- Improve continually existing operation, for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Investigate operational problems affecting production along with reporting, and recommending solutions.
- Provide manufacturing data i.e., production control charts, reliability, process capability, to improve the process and monitor and measure progress to target.
- Organize meetings with other team members to facilitate growth.
- Work with other relevant departments to identify ways to reduce production costs through recommendations – i.e., new process equipment, equipment, and justification to improve performance.
- Train employees on new development processes and technology.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associate Degree in S.T.E.M. and 4 years of work experience in a related field (Bachelor’s Degree in S.T.E.M. preferred).
- Work experience in the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Industrial engineering.
- Travel required and Motor Vehicle Records Screening (MVR) required.
- Needs to be a self-starter and be able to do independent work.
- Deep interest and knowledge about quality control measures and techniques used in manufacturing.
- Must have good planning and processing skills.
