Station 305 is seeking motivated Part-Time Emergency Medical Technicians to provide patient care in a safe and professional manner. Work Schedule: 7:00am - 7:00pm & 7:00pm - 7:00am (minimum of 2 shifts bi-weekly), Specific Days will be discussed with department. Some weekend availability is required. Education Required: Valid Pennsylvania State Emergency Medical Technician license, EVOC certification and current CPR REQUIRED. Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record required. Minimum of High School Diploma with two (2) years of emergency experience or any combination of experience, education, or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability needed for the position. Direct mental health experience is a plus! Job Duties: Primary responsibilities for the EMT include: - Have the ability to properly use the Montgomery County Telecommunication System. - Able to demonstrate therapeutic crisis intervention techniques. - Provide services in the community for persons who are being evaluated under Section 302 of the Mental Health Procedure ACT and ambulance transport services for MCES patients who are discharged to other inpatient facilities. - Completion of required documentation in accordance with established charting procedures - Complete routine maintenance of the ambulances as outlined in the Ambulance Policy and Procedure Manual (cleaning, checking fluid levels, checking air pressure, maintaining all emergency medical equipment on board the ambulance and nurse’s station.) - Maintains a productive working relationship with all persons in the community, consumers, families, significant others, law enforcement, and other professionals. Complete all necessary documentation and support our inpatient unit staff in a team-oriented environment. - Must be able to work independently and professionally with others and be detail-oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.
