Responsibilities: Employee Tax Accountant responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for payroll tax administration functions for the entire organization. Additional responsibilities to include timely reconciling payroll withholding to general ledger accounts. This position is located in the corporate office in Kansas City, Missouri.
Employee Tax Accountant primary duties:

• Ensure the organization’s compliance with payroll tax reporting-withholding and unemployment
• Registration of new entity jurisdiction tax authorizations
• Research and interpret federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and resolve tax issues
• Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries
• Ensure timely remittances are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
• Partners with Accounting to ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Qualified candidates for the Employee Tax Accountant position should possess the following:

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Planning and organization – an ability to plan and manage multiple projects
• Problem analysis and problem resolution with an understanding of deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• High performance with being a strong team player

Minimum Education:

• Associate degree plus two years of payroll tax experience preferred

Nice to Have:

• College degree
• CPP or FPC certification
• Fluent in English and Spanish
