Job Description: Leidos is seeking an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Manager to to provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The FAA’s EAP-WorkLife Program is an HR business function/initiative supporting an FAA workforce responsible for the safety of the National Aerospace System (NAS). The FAA EAP/WorkLife Program is also a strategic employee engagement partner whose benefits are pivotal to attracting, motivating, and retaining employees.

The AHB EAP Program Assistant will work closely with the National EAP Program Manager while reporting to the Director, WorkLife Division. Due to the high visibility of this position to the FAA workforce, stakeholders, and its leaders, the EAP Program Assistant has to have proven education and work experience in the EAP field and be knowledgeable about the Employee Assistance Professional Association (EAPA) core technology, work with consultative excellence, and be committed to the FAA safety mission and the AHR goal of employee engagement.

Employee Assistance Program Manger Responsibilities:

  • FAA EAP/WorkLife Briefings

    • Develop relationships to prepare and provide regional LOB/SO requests for in-person briefings on all EAP and WorkLife services. Coordinate WorkLife Solutions training by manager request

    • Develop consultative relationships with employee associations and unions to assist the members by aligning the WorkLife Solutions program to address behavioral health concerns

  • EAP and WorkLife promotions

    • Plan, develop, and implement EAP initiatives for the jurisdictional and national workforce in partnership with the FAA EAP Team and its WorkLife Solutions vendor, Magellan Health Services

    • Advertise/promote the WorkLife Solutions program services messages through written communications strategies

    • Assist EAP Manager team in developing and implementing communications strategies for monthly regional and national promotional campaigns due to workforce interest

  • Report and track metrics separate from the WorkLife Solutions utilization reports – Tracking training and other deliverables from the WorkLife Program contract – Track WorkLife Wednesday metrics to assess workforce trends and utilize resources from the WorkLife Solutions program that support workforce interest

  • Align Magellan training offerings with LOB/SO’s business initiatives across the Enterprise

    • Consult with POC to assess training needs

    • Provide education regarding Magellan-facilitated training options

    • Coordinate training requests with Magellan

  • Provide EAP (non-TRP) backup for the FAA EAP Team when on leave and or when necessary

  • Assist EAP Managers in the coordination of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) requests

  • Act as the National EAP Program Manager’s management approval designee for CISM requests

  • Research trends in EAP and WorkLife to align the WorkLife Solutions program to consumer interest

  • Per Collective Bargaining Agreements, assist the National EAP Program manager in planning and implementing agendas for the union EAP Committee meetings

  • Assist in planning health and/or benefits fairs at Headquarters (HQ). Staffing of the FAA WorkLife Solutions booth as needed

  • Support the National EAP Program Manager role to respond to the workforce in preparation for and after natural disasters and catastrophic events with outreach and promotional efforts aligning the WorkLife Solutions program services appropriate to the event and customer request

Employee Assistance Program Manger Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience

Pay Range: Pay Range $72,150.00 - $111,000.00 - $149,850.00
