The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for checking orders for the correct quantity, colors, sizes, and style of varying substrates prior to decoration. The Machine Operator maintains and manages the quality of embroidered designs before sending them to the packaging station by comparing previously ran designs to proofs and utilizing the documented machine settings.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Properly clean, maintain, and calibrate machines.
- Select the proper art files, thread, needles and backing.
- Program, adjust and change machine settings as needed.
- Hoop product, load and unload items to/from the machine.
- Troubleshoot issues to maintain decoration quality during runs.
- They must also document any machine settings or supplies used on new designs to ensure they are running the same way in the future.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized workspace through daily cleaning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Trim loose threads, remove backing, fold, bag, and package orders according to department standards.
- Stage orders in an organized and efficient manner for all Machine Operators.
- Help other production departments meet deadlines.
- Cross train throughout all production departments to expand job knowledge.
- Train others on this position’s duties and responsibilities.
- Operators will occasionally hem pants on an industrial sewing machine when necessary.

Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior sewing experience preferred but not required.
