Embedded Software Engineer

You’ll be providing analysis and solutions to cyber related missions and products. Our customer has a wide variety of products that our team of software engineers, embedded developers, and system administrators work together to support. Our developers are responsible for all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from producing code that runs on a variety of platforms (Windows, Linux, and embedded devices) to providing backend processing and analysis scripts. Development efforts can vary from month to month depending on what our customer needs. Whether it's developing in C/C++ on Windows, writing assembly code for embedded devices, or providing the Python scripts that glue everything together, our engineers are excited by each new opportunity presented to them. Our system administrators are the best at enabling our developers, providing the tools and resources required to meet the wide range of requirements our customer has. Responsibilities:
- Work with a small team of developers, performing embedded software development with C and conducting reverse engineering on software and firmware.
- Identify risks, suggest mitigation, track defects, develop resolutions, and report status.
- Develop and execute unit tests and build verification test plans, and track and report test status.
Requirements:
- At least 14 years experience (with no degree) supporting projects of similar scope and complexity, 10 years experience with a Bachelors in Computer Science or related field, or 7 years with a Masters in Computer Science or related field.
- 6 years of embedded development experience.
- Background using C and one or more of C++, Assembly or Java.
- Knowledge of embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).
- Experience with one of the following: in-circuit emulation, JTAG, FPGA development, or testing of embedded systems.
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of Ghidra and/or IDA.
