• Assign tasks to engineers and maintain production schedule
• Gauge progress of various projects and have ability maintain multiple deadlines
• Communicate effectively with customers in a professional manner
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide pricing and testing schedule
• Process development and documentation
• Calibration and accreditation management
• Developing detailed plans for new designs and products
• Making determinations for equipment, staff and training needs
• Proposing project and program budgets
• Hiring and supervising staff
• Leading research and development projects that produce new methods and processes
• Checking their team's work for technical accuracy
• Ensuring the validity of methods used by staff
• Coordinating work with other managers and staff

Ideal Qualifications:

• Proven success in managing an engineering team
• Proven success in managing a environmental laboratory with strong ability in quality assurance, customer service, and subject matter expertise

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• BSME/EE or 10+ years of related industry experience
• Ability to design/troubleshoot/maintain electro-mechanical system
• SME – Environmental/Dynamics/Electronics
• Developing detailed plans for new designs and products
• Making determinations for equipment, staff and training needs
• Proposing project and program budgets
• Hiring and supervising staff
• Leading research and development projects that produce new designs, products and processes
• Checking their team's work for technical accuracy
• Ensuring the validity of methods used by staff
• Coordinating work with other managers and staff
• Able to stand or sit for long periods of time
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and use scissor lifts to mount devices, such as antennas
• Ability to safely use power tools and perform light machining
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 40 hrs. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Union City, CA are encouraged to apply.
