Position Overview
Perform a wide variety of electronic and electromechanical subassembly and assembly operations to build up and assemble units such as printed circuit boards, and other electronic assemblies. Solders parts by following schematic, blueprint, and Standard Work Instructions to assemble final unit. Verifies correct assembly of final unit. Performs related duties, which may be assigned.
Essential Job Functions
- Strip and tin lead wires
- Solder lead wires to terminals
- Solder through-hole components
- Touch up PCB Assembly
- Following established methods and procedures builds flexible cable assemblies; makes bulk cables, cuts and strips wires, crimps, cleaning operations, marking operations
- Hand soldering and de-soldering of thru-hole, and SMT components
- Perform visual inspection of solder joints per IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship requirements
- Perform assembly tasks such as surface preparation and cleaning
- Other duties assigned
Requirements
- Certified IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001
- Experience soldering lead wire and through-hole components
- Experience inspecting lead wire and through hole solder per IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship requirements
- Expected to read and comprehend process documentation including Bills of Materials, Travelers and Assembly drawings.
- Effective communication skills in English with the ability to read, speak, and understand English

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
