The Optical Payload Center of Excellence (OPCoE) enables new frontiers in visible-light and infrared systems, missile defense, space exploration and much more. As Electro-Optics Manufacturing Manager program lead you will lead efforts and play a critical role in development and strategy for Missile Sensor Optics Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) production!
In this role you will:
- Be a leader who coordinates the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of program contracts, proposals, walk in work and other deliverables to develop Electo-Optical (EO) instruments and payloads for civilian and military applications.
- Partner with OPCoE Program, Engineering, manufacturing centers and IPT's to develop architectures in a consistent manner to allow use of common products.
- Monitor, refine, or upgrade the processes and infrastructure, as needed.
- Support Production Operations through collaboration with cross functional teams, including Technicians, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Test Engineering, Parts Production Control, Business Development, Finance, and Capture personnel.
- Interact across all levels of the organization; efficiently and effectively communicate and implement agreed upon changes; navigate difficult situations and conversations to a productive outcome.
- Engage in proposal, estimates and/or concept of operation development.
- Manage the Manufacturing and Test areas.
- Keep current on new, innovative processes, tools, or infrastructure.
- Lead team in developing solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Manage activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Manage the build process and compliance for engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Travel to other sites as needed to support manufacturing.
This position requires an Interim Secret prior to start with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
- Interim Secret security clearance to start with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- A full spectrum leader with demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of executives and first-line management, industry peers, internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budget cost, quality, and schedules.
- Experience leading Operational Excellence Teams or Performance Management type teams processes and metrics.
- Ability to read and interpret integrated master schedule.
Desired Skills:
- Ideally, you will have a background in electro-optical engineering or hands on manufacturing lab and possess degree from an accredited program in a related discipline, such as Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mech-Elec Engineering, Physics, Optical Sciences, or related field.
- Active SECRET security clearance.
- Experience or ability to manage a production facility, building or area as a building manager.
- Electro-Optical experience consisting of optical/infrared processing in labs and ISO Class 5-7 cleanrooms, and/or state-of-the-art sensor development or advanced laser systems with hands-on experience in delivering hardware / products within systems such as Thermal Vac Chamber (TVAC) and Laser Systems.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required to support production development phase demand.
- Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
- Writing or reviewing proposal Bases of Estimates (BOEs).
- Capacity planning and resource loading schedule experience
- Presenting to senior government and/or Lockheed Martin leaders.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space Systems processes (Earn Value Management Systems, Cost Accounting, Non-Conformances, FFMEAs, FOE/FOD, ESD) or industry equivalent.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space systems tools (ERP/SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, PMP Database, etc.) or industry equivalent.
- Lean Manufacturing experience and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certifications.
- Knowledge of/experience with LM proposal process and tools (I.e. SAP, GenBOE, etc.).
- Experience with Electro Static Discharge (ESD) and Ordnance missile assembly, integration and test (AI&T) operations.
- Proven Leadership and Management of Aerospace and Manufacturing products.
- Proven communication skills between Manufacturing and Engineering.
- Proven production in flow troubleshooting skills.
