Shift: Rotating - 4 weeks on 1st shift and 2 weeks on 2nd shift

Focus\Objectives:

To provide electrical support for all production equipment.
To maintain all electrical circuits and machines in top working condition. Be proactive on preventative maintenance and machine control up-grades.
To provide and suggest needed changes to equipment to add reliability.

Job Responsibilities:

Understand all job related functions and quality requirements.
Ensure quality & safety standards are met; report unsafe conditions, accidents or injuries per safety policy.
Participate in all required training and oversee work of non licensed personnel.
Troubleshoot (PLC, controls and drives), maintain and PM all electrical equipment.
Make electrical/mechanical modifications, design changes, and retrofit machine controls to existing equipment.
Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, prints, scope meters, power supplies and PLC logic.
Wire all electrical circuits including control, safety, motor and power circuits.
Ensure proper mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance is performed on equipment and facility items.
Operate and maintain functions and components of 13800V switchgear.
Ensure workspace is clean, safe and organized.
Provide input and feedback to supervisor in regard to job performance.
Perform special duties or assignments as required.
Provide needed support for reliability efforts.
Enter all necessary information in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).

Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minnesota Electrical Journeyman license (with experience in controls and troubleshooting).
  • Machine control software programming experience and training.
  • Multiple drive (AC, DC, Servo, etc.) application and programming skills.
  • Advanced computer skills. (Windows, NT, CAD, Microsoft office skills)
  • Good mechanical skills.
  • Good physical condition. Note: Job requires extensive physical activity to include heavy lifting, climbing ladders, heights, etc.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, shifts, and weekends when needed.
  • Good organization skills, communication skills, and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical problem solving skills.
