Job Description – Electrical Assembly Technician

Assembly Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical enclosure control panels, fittings, tubing, hoses and other products by following drawings and instructions.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, drawings, and parts lists.
- Inspects, adjusts, repairs, and tests products as necessary to meet customer requirements.
- Gathers and positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and/or notifying General Manager to obtain additional resources.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs when required.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Additional duties include some warehouse shipping and receiving duties.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Ability stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to drive company vehicle when necessary and a valid driver’s license is required
- Experience and ability using computer programs preferred
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
