This role is within the Hanley Energy US East Region reporting to the Design Engineering Manager. Prior training and experience working with electrical distribution and switchgear equipment is essential for the role.
Electrical Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Design Team assigned projects primarily in the IAD region
- Assemble document packages and develop drawing sets to be reviewed by Electrical Engineer and Automation Engineer for various Control systems and switchgear systems.
- Prepare detailed electrical schematics for Control Panels as well as Mechanical layout drawings.
- Prepare Electrical Plant layout drawings.
- Prepare draft single line drawings for tendering purposes
- Interact with Engineering and Automation personnel and other staff to resolve identified issues.
- Comply with Company Standards of Conduct and all relevant statutory requirements
- Travel to customer sites as required
- Provide technical leadership and/or management of programs
- Develop new electrical distribution designs in collaboration with the R&D division
Experience:
- Basic knowledge of Mission Critical Facilities and a Datacenter environment.
- Be degree qualified in electrical engineering or similar (not essential - those from a technical background who fit the profile will also be considered)
- Electrical switchgear and distribution experience.
- Experience with solid works electrical or similar electrical design software.
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
